TOPEKA, Kan. (KSNT) – Parenting can be stressful, but the Family Service and Guidance Center is here to help with a free workshop to help address life’s tricky subjects with your kids.
It’s apart of a monthly series called Real-World Parenting. The last class was about depression, and the class Thursday night is called, Screen Time: Your Kids and Social Media.
Conversations will center on how screen time affects kids and teens and the positives and negatives of social media. There will be advice for parents and caregivers about talking with your kids about social media and the internet, as well as how to create a plan for safe, healthy use of social media and electronic devices.
It’s a free workshop Thursday night at 6:30 p.m. It’s happening at the Family Service and Guidance Center location at 327 S.W. Frazier.
